Student Council
Nominations for the Homecoming court will take place Friday, September 25th through Friday, October 2nd. Freshmen nominations will be taken for the Lord & Lady. Sophomore’s nominations will be taken for the Duke & Duchess. Junior nominations will be taken for the Prince and Princess. Senior nominations will be taken for the King and Queen. The students being nominated must be a member of that class per the counselor’s office. The forms will be behind the front office counter with Ms. Smith. It will stay in the office until the end of school on 10/2.

Are you interested in catching up or even getting ahead? Well… Manor High School has the answer! Come to Classroom G221 and meet with Mrs. Patterson-Brown about eh exciting opportunity to receive credits by exam.

CTE Department
Attention ALL Juniors and Seniors ONLY: DO I HAVE AN EVENT FOR YOU! The 13th Annual College and Career Expo will be held on October 7th at the Palmer Events Center. We would like to take as many of our current Juniors and Seniors to this expo as possible. This is an awesome opportunity for you to meet with industry professionals and consult with college recruiters. If you are interested in attending, please see any, Mrs. Crownover in F208, Ms. Morhaim in the Go Center or any CTE teacher for more details. There are also flyers and field trip forms in the front office. Buses will depart MHS at 10:15 am and will return by 1:45 pm. Sack lunches will be provided. If you don’t bring resumes, you can still go to the event. Mrs. Crownover must receive all FIELD TRIP FORMS SIGNED BY A PARENT, NO LATER THAN 4 PM, SEPTEMBER 29TH. You will not be allowed to go if your form is not returned by that time. YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY TO START PREPARING FOR YOUR FUTURE!

SAT Prep/Cody Pruitt
Want to know what’s on the SATs? Come to G214 for SAT prep Tues + Thurs after school to get ready with Pruitt + Nettles! (G214 4:30-5:45)

Students needing to recover credits may do so in the A+ lab located in D102. The lab is open Tuesdays and Thursday after school and Tuesday through Friday before school. Please see Coach Kirby to sign up and reserve a seat.

A Message from the Principal
Students, please remember that due to the need to raise our performance levels in Math and Science, we will no issue passes to leave Math or Science classes. Please take care of personal needs before or after these classes meet. We appreciate your efforts to raise the bar for success here at Manor High School. Anime Club/Cathy AshAre you bored of the usual activities? Then join the anime club. It is hosted in the library on Thursday in a weekly basis from 4:30-6:00. If you have any questions, please ask one of our officers: President Khoa Vu, VP Mary Ruiz. (4:30-6:00pm)

Open Mic/Pruitt
Students! Open Mic is here Tuesday, 29th. It will be in the library from 6-8 pm. Every one is welcomed. All types of performances will be presented.
